The V10 is a dying breed, but there are still a handful of great cars that have them under the hood. Which do you think is the best?
The V10 has never been as prevalent as engines with eight or 12 cylinders, which is what makes them so unique. Nowadays it’s used almost exclusively in new cars like the Lamborghini Huracan and Audi R8. But in the past there have been all sorts of cars with V10s. Which one do you like the most?
For me, it’s got to be the E60-generation M5, the one with the 5.0-liter V10. This was the model before BMW switched to twin-turbo V8s. Inspired by the company’s Formula One efforts, it makes an outrageous noise, and revs happily to 8250 rpm. Of course, I might be a little biased, considering I actually own one.
Now we want to know: Which modern V10-powered car do you think is the best? It doesn’t necessarily have to be a sporty car or a supercar, nor does it have to be particularly new. It just hast to have a V10, and your affection. Let us know in the comments below.
